Ghalixy OS Coming

Ghalixy OS is the system under a Ghalixy server, with Ghalixy AI built in: mail, calendar, contacts, notes, files, messages and an assistant that asks before it acts, all on a machine you own. You use Ghalixy, not Linux. Ghalixy OS is not available to install yet, and this site gives no dates.

No cloud AI, no telemetry. Anything the server itself sends out is in a log you can read, in Settings, then Privacy.
Newer features behind a switch Coming
Maps, a wallet, Find My, 3D printing and a few more are marked Labs: outside the core, turned on or off for everyone by an administrator, so the core gets the testing.

The system

A read-only, signed system Coming
Based on Debian 13 and built from a recipe kept in version control. A changed system file stops the boot instead of running.
Updates that can't strand you Coming
An update is installed beside the running system and tried once. If it doesn't start, the machine goes back to the one that worked. Your data is never touched.
Encrypted data Coming
The disk with your data is encrypted and opened by the machine's own security chip, so a stolen box can't be read. The recovery key is yours, on a card shown once.
Set up from a phone Coming
One question on the box, which disk. The rest is a phone or a browser: scan a code, name the box, make your passkey.
Install anywhere
One build, every kind of machine.

A Ghalixy server today is installed by us, in your home or office, and looked after by us. For offices says how that works. Ghalixy OS does not change what Ghalixy AI does; it changes how a server is installed, updated and protected.
